Paul Cullen and his golfing society raise £2500 for BEAT

Paul Cullen and his golfing society, the 5P's who last year raised a large sum of money for the Phoenix Trust have this year donated a sum of £2500 to BEAT, a local eating disorders charity. In a spirit of mutual support and a wish to bring Cirencester Charities closer together, the Phoenix Trust also donated £500 to BEAT. Paul Cullen and Peter Jay, chairman of the Phoenix Trust, made a joint presentation at the Phoenix Surgery to Pat Ayres of BEAT. Pat Ayres, the beat group facilitator said:

"I am delighted because as a small charity, we have to show that we are capable of standing on our own two feet. It is an honour to receive cash donations from two other important charities."
