What is it?
Acupuncture is a system of healing which has been practiced in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years.
How can it help me?
Although often described as a means of pain relief, it is in fact used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses. Its focus is on improving the overall well-being of the patient, as well as treating specific symptoms.
Where and when?
Acupuncture is available at the Phoenix Surgery on Wednesday afternoon. Treatments are subsidised by the Phoenix Charitable Trust. Private treatments are available at the South Cerney Surgery on a Wednesday morning.
Who?
Having completed a degree in pharmacology Jamie Gisby studied acupuncture at Leamington Spa and London. He has been practicing for 15 years and has a special interest in pain control, muscular-skeletal conditions, headaches and migraines, and the treatment of stress-related illnesses.
